Cover Story

A Tale of Two Coyotes

Few things make work more fun than to spend an entire day flying to a job, flying something for the assignment, photographing that same machine from yet another aerial conveyance and then returning home by plane. It feels like scoring a hat trick for a flying junkie. Double the number of airplanes assigned to sample, and the same-day tally becomes a grand slam. I love days like that, like the one I recently spent with Randy Schlitter and the rest of the gang at RANS, Inc. The mission? Compare and contrast two versions of the company's longest-running model--the venerable Coyote II. By Dave Higdon
