Low, sleek and sassy yellow, Cory Bird's "Symmetry" had not been parked at AirVenture long before somebody suggested that it should be roped off for its own protection. That suggestion quickly proved correct, as "Symmetry" became the talk of the show and went on to garner the Grand Champion award for best plansbuilt aircraft and the Stan Dzik Memorial Award.
