Reno 2004: Battle Royale
At Reno, the excitement grows as Sport Class rivals vie for first place.
The Reno Air Races, held over four days in September, are the defining event in aviation performance. Reno is not a typical airshow with rows of vendors, but it features both the most proven and the least proven aviation machinery around. It isn't your average fly-in, either, though the fastest propeller-driven airplanes in the world fly there. It's a race. At Reno, you see who can go fastest around the course. By Tim Kern
