New Hopes For An Old Legend

North American Aviation's seminal Mustang lives on in the Legendary Aircraft kit.

If imitation is the most sincere form of flattery--and history assures us that it most certainly is--then the engineers and designers from North American Aviation in the early 1940s can continue to take great pride in their P-51 Mustang. More than 60 years after the war that made the Mustang famous, builders and pilots are still trying to figure out ways to capture the mystique of this legendary aircraft. By Doug Rozendaal.
