Lance Neibauer Inducted into EAA Hall of Fame

The Experimental Aircraft Association has inducted six individuals into its hall of fame for 2009. They include:

Robert A. “Bob” Hoover as an International Aerobatic Club inductee; George H. Baker, as a Warbirds of America inductee; Lance A. Neibauer as an EAA Homebuilders inductee; Roy Pinner as an EAA Ultralights inductee; Paul Sanderson as a National Association of Flight Instructors inductee; and Stephen Pitcairn as a Vintage Aircraft Association inductee.

According to EAA, "Neibauer has been president and CEO of Neico Aviation Inc., a manufacturer and marketer of kit aircraft; Lancair International Inc., the distributor for the product line; Advanced Composite Technologies, a Philippine manufacturing company formed to build composite components and preassemble kits; and Pacific Aviation Composites LLC, which was the first company to design and certify a new generation of general aviation four-seat aircraft in more than 30 years. All of his companies were sold in 2003, but the Lancair legacy remains today in homebuilt kits by Lancair International Inc. and an advanced line of composite aircraft by Cessna Aircraft Company."
