READER's PAGE

The purpose of this page is to encourage interaction between readers and editors. You—the readers and builders—are what make KITPLANES a magazine that appeals to fellow builders. We'd like to see as many of your projects in the magazine as possible. The Readers Page is here to list how you can get involved in current editorial projects underway. For each specific project, appropriate contact information is listed. Feel free to e-mail us with questions or comments about the magazine (editorial@kitplanes.com).

What Worked & What Didn't Work...Dos & Don'ts...Best Ideas/Worst Ideas

In the process of building a kit aircraft, every homebuilder comes up with some ideas that work great and some that turn out terribly. Share them with us! We want to hear what worked for you and what didn't turn out as planned. We'll pass on advice to current and aspiring builders so they can duplicate your successes and avoid your mistakes! E-mail us at editorial@kitplanes.com. A few sample topics include:

  • Engine selection and installation
  • Choosing the right kit
  • First flights
  • Maintenance
  • Annual inspections
  • Financing your project
  • Dealing with insurance companies

Get Your Airplane in Completions
If you've built a plane and flown it, please send us a submission for our Completions section. Completions remains one of the most popular departments in KITPLANES, and we want your plane there! Every kitbuilt and plansbuilt plane that's flown will be included in the order they are received. See guidelines for submissions .
