N6002E Victor Stanley Funkist
Meticulously build and maintained single seater. This is a plans-built experimental aircraft based on
the Teenie Two, but slightly scaled up. Although registered as an experimental, it meets the requirements of, and can be flown with, a Light Sport pilot’s license.
1915cc VW engine. Direct drive with Ed Sterba propeller.
Basic instrumentation. This aircraft was certified without an electrical system, therefore must be
hand-propped to start (which is easy to do). This also means the aircraft is exempt from having a
transponder or ADS-B out. This means it is legal to fly (with appropriate clearance) in class C and D airspace, and within a MODE C veil.
The plane has been equipped with a custom mount for a ICON handheld radio (model IC-A6, included) and is wired with an external, bellymounted, antenna. This set-up extends the range of the hand held radio up to 20 miles (depending on altitude and line of sight).
The panel has holders for a cell phone and external battery to allow the convenient use NAV software such as WingX or Foreflight.
I also have available a “spare” engine (Great Plains 1915cc) with a starter and built-in alternator that I built about 10 years ago with the intention of installing and recertifying the plane with an electrical system. Interested in including engine with plane.
