Glasair Aviation’s New Director of Marketing and Sales

0Glasair Aviation has announced the appointment of Christopher Strachan as director of marketing and sales. He will be responsible for redefining the Glasair and Sportsman brands, all promotion activity and sales strategies. In concert with the new ownership, Strachan will help drive the company’s growth in the sport aviation market.

Strachan brings more than 20 years of experience in the aviation industry to Glasair, including knowledge of operations, marketing, product development, CRM and sales. “Chris brings passion, energy, experience and a unique perspective to our existing business and future plans,” said Nigel Mott, president of Glasair Aviation. “He is a talented and skillful individual who understands the industry, our customers and the Glasair brand. Glasair’s new ownership reached out to Chris as part of a new plan for expansion and growth.”

Strachan said, “As an aviator and aircraft kit builder, I am excited to work with this team, to see the technology and the vision. I’ve been around aviation all my life and the thought of being at the forefront of aircraft design, new technology and manufacturing embodies an experience I couldn’t pass up.”

Glasair Aviation was founded in 1980 and is one of the largest aircraft kit manufacturers with more than 3000 kits in the field and 1700 aircraft flying in most countries around the world. In 2004 the company introduced its “Two Weeks to Taxi” program, which allows a builder to a complete aircraft from a Sportsman kit in two weeks.
