Two-time KITPLANES cover subject Dave Klages, builder of a Van’s RV-8 and a Wag-Aero “Cub” Light Sport, was credited today at the opening ceremonies of AirVenture 2009 for his work in reordering the physical layout of the show. And while the show has yet to begin, your KITPLANES staff on site can report that the new arrangement, with many kit-aircraft vendors moved from their traditional spots to more prominent locations on the main walkway, is an improvement. There are notably more tables in front of the food vendors and a generally airier feel despite the presence of moving trucks and packing crates.Weather so far? Gorgeous.
