Barrett Precision Engines Update

Rhonda Barrett.

We had a chance to catch up with Rhonda Barrett of Barrett Precision Engines, one of the highest volume suppliers of engines and engine services to the experimental, certified, and specialty engines market. She advised that turnaround times for new kit engines and rebuilt core orders are currently running at about 7-8 months.

As others in her industry have stated, she said that supply chains shortages are easing and that prices are stabilizing. Cylinder supply had been a problem of late, but she commented that the situation is improving. She also said that qualified techs in their industry are always in high demand but that, thankfully, she remains fully staffed and producing at high volume levels with over 75 engine projects under production currently.
