I started my Kitfox S7 STi build November 2018 and flew it November 2020. The guys at Kitfox have been extremely helpful along the way answering questions with their heavy work load. The plane is powered by a Rotax 912iS, Airmaster C/S prop. Avionics include Garmin G3X touch, with autopilot. I now have over a hundred hour and can’t be any happier.

My dream to build one for myself in South Africa. Just can’t get over the exchange rate to the Rand value. US dollar is out for our reach in South Africa. Over 15 Rand to 1 US dollar.
I am in South Africa an are looking at a Kitfox 2 to buy. Fitted with a Rotax 582 engin.
What advice can you give me.

Is the Model 4, Series 5-Speedster with the Rotax 912s-80h.p. version is adequate of Course, Can a Person Install the Big Bore Pistons-9.3:1 to be exact to raise the HorsePower to 100-105h.p. and 97 to 110ft.lbs. of Torque. With little or No extra cost to us Consumers and/or Mechanics
