Phillips 66 Sets Course for Oshkosh With Specials, Seminars—and Popsicles

Phillips 66 Aviation and Phillips 66 Lubricants are headed back to EAA AirVenture Oshkosh, and the brand is bringing the full kit: show-only specials, technical expertise and a few traditions the regulars already have circled on their maps. The world’s largest fly-in runs July 20–26 at Wittman Regional Airport, where organizers expect roughly 700,000 visitors and more than 10,000 aircraft over the week. Phillips 66 puts the reach higher still, citing attendees from 94 countries and more than 800 exhibitors on the grounds.

Two educational sessions round out the week: Keith Clark, Senior Specialist, QC and Technical Support, presents “Bob Hoover: Perfecting Flight” on Thursday, July 23, at the EAA Museum’s Skyscape Theater; and Molly Merritt, Specialist, Technical Services, tackles “Aviation Oil: Dispelling the Myths” on Friday, July 24, in Workshop Classroom B.

For the tradition-minded, the Annual Popsicle Happy Hour returns to tents #430 and #431 Monday through Thursday at 1:30 p.m.—a complimentary cool-down while supplies last. Phillips 66 representatives and the Young Eagles award winner will also drop by EAA Radio through the week to talk safety, quality control, lubricants and their own aviation journeys.
