Sportys new app for the AOPA Summit 2012 is free and ready to download to iPads, iPhones and Androids. The app is designed to help users maximize their time at the AOPA Summit, to be held in Palm Springs, California, from October 11-13.
The old-school attendee is weighted down and juggling maps, notebook, papers, program, pens, highlighter and guides; the new-school attendee simply turns on his or her smart device and is set for the day, said Sporty’s Vice President John Zimmerman.
On the app, users can find exhibitors, events, speakers and other program elements, all presented in an easy-to-navigate format; they can make an hour-by-hour itinerary, including details, times and locations. The Summit App includes an interactive list of exhibitors and an Exhibit Hall map. Click on the name of an exhibitor to instantly see where that exhibit is on the map, down to the precise booth location.
