HomebuiltHELP has released a new DVD production titled Electrical Wiring 101 for Your Homebuilt Aircraft, the latest in a series of training videos targeted toward the novice homebuilder.
Electrical Wiring 101 explains and demonstrates the common procedures, tools and components required for the basic wiring of a homebuilt aircraft. The instructor leads the viewer through demonstrations of crimping, soldering, wire selection and wiring design with simple schematics that are applicable to a homebuilt electrical system. A discussion on proper wire type and sizing, fuses and connectors is supplemented with photos of these components for easy identification. Another segment explains where to find resources for obtaining additional electrical data and components used in the demonstrations.
The goal of the program is to allow the beginning builder to observe the methods and techniques used in the design and construction of a basic aircraft electrical system. It runs 1 hour and 20 minutes and costs $25 (price includes postage in the U.S. and Canada). For more information or to order the DVD, call 920/825-7731 or visit http://www.homebuilthelp.com/.
