Manufacturer of the Softie Emergency Parachute Line

Para-Phernalia, Inc. is celebrating its 40th anniversary as a leading manufacturer of emergency parachute systems for pilots and aircrew. The company was founded on 20 April 1979 by Lynda Forney and Earl Bartell in Issaquah, Washington.

Dan Tarasievich purchased the company in January 1984. Para-Phernalia, Inc is headquartered on the airport (KAWO) in Arlington, Washington.

“From our humble beginnings in Issaquah to our headquarters in Arlington, we owe our success to our customers, employees, and distributors. Throughout our 40 years the company has grown to provide a full line of Aircrew Emergency Parachutes to fit just about every pilot and aircraft. We are proud to produce and design a high quality parachute system. However, with well over 40 aircrew and pilot saves, we gain the most satisfaction when one of our parachutes saves a life.

Our core values of providing safety solutions, responsive customer service, and fair pricing remains. We thank our clients and distributors for the great 40 years and look forward to continue to serve them.”

To celebrate and kick off their 40th anniversary, three different camo print fabrics will be offered to honor past and present military personnel. The company extends a special thanks to those that have serviced and their families.
