Sensenich O-360 PropSensenich Propeller’s long-anticipated adjustable composite propeller for the Lycoming O-360 is now available. The propeller carries no rpm range restrictions and was specifically designed for Van’s RV models 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, and 9. The prop is also suitable for other high-performance homebuilts that regularly travel in the 150-215 mph range, including the Wittman Tailwind, Mustang II and Thorpe T-18.

According to Sensenich, in real-world flying tests against propellers from other manufacturers, the new prop demonstrated speed increases of 5–10 mph over the full range of practical throttle settings, and also provided superior throttle response and acceleration. The new O-360 prop and its O-320 sibling are also the only composite propellers of this type that conform to ASTM standards.

The two-blade prop with its aluminum hub and pre-cut, balanced spinner weighs about 20 pounds, which is considerably lighter than similar-sized metal props, and rivals the weight of wood. Blades come in any combination of red, white, grey, yellow, or black, and index without special tools, using the same pitch indexing system found on Sensenich O-320 and 3-blade Rotax props.
