Those homebuilders planning to attend Sun’n Fun in Lakeland next week will be among the first to get a chance to touch (literally) the newest offerings from some of the big names in the experimental EFIS market. Both Dynon and Garmin have announced large, touch screen displays this past week that will enhance and expand the capabilities of their systems – and the benefactors will be the entire experimental community. Kitplanes plans to look at and touch these systems at the show, and will report on what we find. We plan in-depth reviews of these systems as they become available in coming month, but In the meantime, we’ll let the manufacturers speak for themselves.

From Dynon, the new SkyView – which includes SkyView Touch, two new control panels, and SkyView 10 software – is their biggest release ever. With this re-introduction of SkyView, Dynon will continue to offer a complete and capable avionics solution for light sport and experimental aircraft.
