The 2010-2011 edition of the Aircraft Electronic Association Pilots Guide to Avionics will be available during AirVenture, Booth 2035/36 in Hangar B.

This year also marks the debut of the Pilots Guide to Avionics web site, where visitors will find an avionics glossary, repair station directory by state and country, archives of past articles and more.

Nearly 15,000 guides are distributed each year free of charge. Some of the articles featured in this edition include: New Products for 2010, Dream Panel Installations & Repair, Wi-Fi in the Sky, Hand-Held GPS, Adapting ADS-B, In-Flight Entertainment and Choosing an FAA-Certified Repair Station.

For the past eight years, the AEA has published the annual consumer edition, which contains buyer guides, educational articles and timely information about the avionics industry, its products and its people. The back portion is a directory of AEA member certified repair stations and associate members.

The aim in publishing the guide is to help pilots make better avionics buying decisions and to assist them in locating repair stations certified by international regulatory authorities as capable of installing and maintaining these sophisticated pieces of equipment.
