Charlie Becker, EAA Homebuilt Community Manager, announced Saturday morning that the One Week Wonder will return at AirVenture 2022 with the build of a Sonex Waiex aircraft. He made the announcement at the Sonex Aircraft booth, along with Sonex’s Mark Schaible. The One Week Wonder project has, in the past, featured a Zenith Cruzer and a Van’s RV-12, and utilizes hundreds of volunteers to build a complete aircraft in just one week. The Sonex project in 2022 will follow the tradition, with the opening of boxes when the show opens on Monday, and first flight the following weekend.
