Zenith Trailer Kit

4

Zenith, the popular airplane kit company, is testing the waters for interest in what would be a travel trailer kit to be made with construction techniques similar to those used to build their popular 700 series utility airplanes.

At this time there are no pricing or delivery dates available. They are just trying to gauge interest in the concept.

The trailer box is 15′ x 8′, with an overall length of 18 feet. The prototype has no interior, but interior finishing kits could be a possibility of the project get the go ahead.

Born into a family of builders, it was only natural that he would make his living as a contractor and spend his leisure time building airplanes. He has so far completed four—two GlaStars, a Glasair Sportsman, and a Texas Sport Cub—and is helping a friend build an RV-8. When he isn’t building something, he shares his love of aviation with others by flying Young Eagles or volunteering as an EAA Technical Counselor. He is also an A&P mechanic, Designated Airworthiness Representative (DAR), and was a member of the EAA Homebuilt Aircraft Council for six years.

  1. I think it would be awesome to add a camper kit to your portfolio. I think there would be a big market for Kit built campers. I know that I would definitely be interested.

  2. Heck yes let us put one together this winter. I’ve already built a 19 foot sail box from plans. Can’t wait to get started. Send out the email telling me when to send the check. See you in Mexico, MO.

  3. Just saw one on the 8 interstate, grabbed our eyes! Very beautiful concept and would love to see these kick off! Perfect
