Metal Magic: Making Parts Fit

1

In our 22nd episode of Metal Magic, KITPLANES editor at large Paul Dye goes into some of the tactics to make recalcitrant airframe pieces fit properly. Sometimes the kit is a little off, sometimes the parts you made for your plansbuilt aircraft aren’t quite right. Don’t despair; there are lots of ways to salvage the situation. Paul covers a few here.

  1. Cheers, noting the shop backdrop of the lathe in Paul Dye’s metal videos. If I were to leave the T handle resting in the chuck on a lathe, my shop teacher would have failed me on the spot ! He believed that this was totaled disregard for SAFTY, and unacceptable
in any shop environment. That was the way we were taught……..
    Thank You
