The Scale Wings SW-51 super-realistic 70% P-51 Mustang replica that took Sun ‘n Fun by storm reappeared at AirVenture in a high speed fly-by during the air show. The scale replica is so close to the original that some on the flight line were convinced it was the real thing, an illusion that was enhanced by the uncanny similarity between the sound generated by SW-51’s four-bladed prop and a real live Rolls Royce/Allison 12 cylinder engine.
