Zenith Aircraft flew its new CH 650B kit aircraft for the first time Wednesday. The powerplant is a brand new 130-horsepower UL Power engine, the UL350iS. A video of the flight was posted on YouTube.

The company says fine-tuning of the firewall-forward package and fiberglass cowl are next, along with adding striping to the airframe in preparation for Oshkosh AirVenture. Performance figures and flight characteristics will be reported soon.
