If you’ve ever seen some of the high-speed photography taken of aircraft engine cylinders during operation, you realize how much they shake—much like a wet dog trying to dry off! Anything and everything that is attached to the engine needs to be checked regularly for proper tightness. One common problem area is the screws holding the baffling to the engine. Both of these screws were found to be missing on the same aircraft.
