Vic Syracuse, who KITPLANES readers know from his Checkpoints columns and his series on building his Hummingbird helicopter (which, incidentally, won Grand Champion rotorcraft at AirVenture this year), while on a recent visit to Oregon stopped in on the Advanced Flight Systems facility.
