JK-2 Nano Gyrocopter Debuts at AirVenture

JK-2 Nano GyroFusion Copters of Warsaw, Poland debuted its single seat carbon fiber gyroplane at AirVenture this year. Midwest distributor, Jeffrey Boyd, is displaying the sleek new design at the Ultralight and Light Sport field. First flying in Poland last summer, now some thirteen JK-2s are flying in Europe and three are in the U.S. The gyro is Part 103 legal and cruises in the 40-50 mph range, depending on engine. The kit can be shipped directly to your door. Boyd says the kit can be completed, from removal from the shipping container to startup in a single weekend.JK-2 Nano Gyro

The JK-2s fuselage, main gear leaf spring and tail feathers are all constructed of carbon fiber while the main rotor blades are aluminum. The kit comes with either a 38 hp Italian Polini engine or a 50 hp Hirth, and includes instruments and interior. The fuselage and tail come painted in your selected color. Cost? The kit with the 38 hp engine will cost about 22,000 Euros (currently about $26,000) and the 50 hp kit will run about 26,000 Euros (currently about $30,600).

Maximum pilot weight is 209 lb for the 38 hp engine and 245 lb for the 50 hp engine. A Keto diet runs extra. More information can be found at flynanogyro.com.
