One of the most amazing things about AirVenture is simply how bigger-than-life it all is. It is always interesting to watch folks come up with new and interesting ways to take it all in.

Today we enjoyed a totally new perspective on the “air” show by joining friends out on Lake Winnebago in a rented boat.

Almost everyone enjoys watching the OSH arrivals but being out on the lake right under the traffic patterns gives a whole new perspective as does watching the seaplane activities more from their point of view.

It made for a for a very enjoyable half day and may turn into a new Oshkosh tradition. A nautical perspective is certainly one more option to consider in planning out the week’s activities at the world’s greatest air show.
