Dynon Avionics has announced the acquisition of UK-based Trig Avionics, known for its transponders and compact radio systems. The deal brings Trig into the Dynon Group, formalizing a relationship that has included years of collaboration on integrated products.

Trig has supplied Dynon with private-labeled transceivers and transponders used in SkyView and Advanced Flight Systems panels. With the acquisition, Dynon says it will increase development and support for a wider range of integrated avionics solutions across experimental, Light Sport, and type-certificated aircraft.

The combined company will be led by Brad Thurow, who joined Dynon in 2021 and has served as vice president of engineering. Thurow succeeds longtime president Robert Hamilton, who now serves as chief operating officer.

Dynon and Trig will continue to operate under their existing brands for now, while collaborating on product integration and future development.TRIG logo
