Watch Your Washer

An eagle-eyed reader just phoned the KITPLANES HQ to let us know about a mistake printed in the November issue. Specifically, in the Engine Beat column, the large-area washers used with Marc Zeitlin’s Belleville-washer-based mounting arrangement for wood props were incorrectly called out as AN900 washers. Well, if you know your AN hardware, you also know that an AN900 is not an area washer (that would be the AN970), but instead a crush washer that’s obviously unsuited for use with propeller attachment.

We apologize for the error.
